Our school crest

The Mary Immaculate crest is more than just an image; it is an invitation to live in ways that reflect the love and service exemplified in the life of the Virgin Mary, Jesus’s mother.

  • The two hands symbolise how we experience faith through relationships—with God, with one another, and with the world.
  • The heart challenges us to look beyond ourselves and to respond with empathy to the joys and struggles of others.
  • The hands supporting the heart reflect our call to serve one another, not out of obligation but from a place of genuine care.
  • At the centre of our crest is the cross, reminding us that love and service lie at the heart of our shared human experience.

Our history

Originally known as Quakers Hill Parish Primary, Mary Immaculate has provided quality Catholic education since 1987.

Our story begins in 1919 when a pioneering group of Catholic families gathered to discuss their hopes for the future. This gathering, known as the ‘The Meeting on the Log,’ led to the purchase of land on Montrose Street.

Over the next fifty years, the community raised funds to build a church and parish hall. Quakers Hill was declared a parish on 1 January 1973.

Quakers Hill Parish Primary opened its doors on 1 February 1987.  The school enrolled 70 children taught by three teachers.

In the early days, classes were conducted in demountable buildings in Pentland St, Quakers Hill, next to the parish church. We officially moved to our current location on Farnham Road in 1990.

Over the years, our school has continued to grow and expand with new facilities and classroom buildings.

The school was renamed Mary Immaculate Primary in 1997. We look forward to providing outstanding Catholic education for many years to come!
