Educating for the future

The learning journey at Mary Immaculate honours the developmental stages in a student’s life. Based on leading educational research and the best of today’s technologies, we prepare students for the future by teaching them how to think critically and creatively, how to communicate effectively and how to lead and work both independently and collaboratively.

Literacy

Literacy is a vital component of all children's learning. Every day, our students participate in dedicated classroom time that develops their reading and writing skills. Our use of technology provides students with a variety of tools that enhances their understanding of language.

Our MiniLit program provides early intervention for students with literacy challenges. Additionally, opportunities such as the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge, UNSW competitions, and the Voice of Youth public speaking contests offer extra challenges for keen students.
